While the eve of Independence is more of a happy occasion since you get to breathe free polluted air of our country, things will be taking a very crucial position when it comes to the film market since there are two biggies or possibly three hitting the screens on the special day and each of them have already established their own brand images.
There is going to be a major clash between 'Salute' which is starring Vishal and Nayantara in the lead and 'Baladoor' starring Ravi Teja and Anushka as the hero and heroine. While the former happens to be a full length cop flick action extravaganza, the latter happens to be a pure mass masala pot boiler with all the commercial elements required to make the film a success.
To top it all, there is also news coming in that they might find a giant in their race in the form of 'Kathanayakudu' starring superstar Rajinikanth which has been postponed to the 15th next month. The saving grace is the news that the makers are trying to get it to 8th. If that does not happen, then there is every chance that the two films will be swept by the Rajini mania.
